Everyone will be encouraged to work at their own pace. We will cover a range of skills including throwing and turning, hand building, press moulding, decorative techniques and glazing. Working with clay is a fantastic way to explore your creativity or simply the enjoyment of making personal pieces for your home.

You can bring your own ideas to the pieces you make or themes can be introduced to inspire you.

This workshop is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to those wishing to develop their skills. Everyone will be encouraged to work at their own pace. We will cover throwing, turning, handles and attachments. We will aim to produce bowls, cups, plates and decorative pieces.

An additional 1hr class can be arranged for those wishing to glaze their work once it has been fired. You will keep 2 pots per session that will be fired ready for collection in 2 to 3 weeks.

This workshop is an introduction to throwing for children aged 7 years and above. Art and creativity, especially working with clay can play a key role in the sensory and manual dexterity skills of children. If your child would like to have a go at making their own pots on a throwing wheel then this is a great workshop for them. Each child will have 2 pieces of work at the end of the session which will be fired and glazed ready for them to collect after 2 to 3 weeks.
